Langmeil is a congregation that has identified 5 areas of spirituality that fulfills our Christian needs.
Worship
We heed God’s call to weekly come into his presence to receive His gift of spiritual rest, forgiveness and his life-giving and nourishing grace given through the hearing of his Word and the sacraments of baptism and Holy Communion. We join in worship to give God our very best in praise and adoration and the use of our gifts in divine service. (Exodus 20:24)
Fellowship
We grow in God’s calling to live as one body, of which Christ is the head, through daily living in our baptism, and in the Spirit of loving care. We also hold to the truth that in this body everyone is welcome – all divisions of race, cultural background or social standing are overcome through mutual service and God’s restoring love. (Acts 2:42-47)
Service
We discover how we have been uniquely made with our gifts, passions, abilities, personality and experiences, and we grow in allowing God to use us both individually and communally in his service. (Eph 4:11-14)
Discipleship
We actively stimulate and encourage growth and maturity in our faith-relationship with God through prayer and the daily reading of his Word, and trust in the Holy Spirit who produces the fruit of faith in us and gives every spiritual gift. (Col 1:28)
Outreach
According to God’s commission, we go and share the good news of salvation to a lost world, both locally and further afield, to help those far from God to turn to him in faith, become disciples of Jesus Christ, and join us in fellowship and outreach. (Matt 28:19-20)
